Developing a brighter Future
Wycombe District Council is home to a vibrant and dynamic environment with an economy led by national and international brands, and new opportunities being developed by entrepreneurs across a variety of sectors. Many of our residents commute to London and we aspire to generate high quality jobs on their doorsteps to reduce travelling. There are many housing and mixed use developments planned that will bring new jobs across an exciting programme, delivering on a community, social and environmental level with sustainability high on the agenda. Confidence and investment are growing. The next 10 years will bring further investment to develop housing, transport, connectivity, jobs and the reputation of the area.
We have a clear strategic direction and are responding to our financial challenges while making a difference to lives and ensuring people want to live, work and visit Wycombe. Our Corporate Plan focuses on key areas for these roles; Place, People, Prosperity and Progress.
We are looking for a Head of Regeneration and Investment. You will have responsibility for:
- Economic Development Partnerships, particularly with the Bucks LEP and local BIDs
- Property development and project delivery of a wide range of investment and regeneration based construction initiatives
- Estates management to ensure our assets are working to maximise their benefit to the Council
- Car Parking services across the whole of our public and corporate estate
The service is central to supporting the success of the authority. We are looking for someone who can provide the lead and deliver our ambitious growth and development agenda.
We are looking for a strong corporate approach, and excellent leadership, together with sharing our ambition for the future. You will be equally at home in strategic problem solving as in handling complex and sensitive operational issues.
We have an exciting future ahead. If you’d like to be on our team, we’d like to hear from you.
